Dr. Laura Zilney (Dr. Sex) is a board certified Sexologist. Dr. Sex completed her doctorate studies at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco, California. Dr. Sex is certified in Static-99 Risk Assessment. Dr. Sex received her Masters degree from Carleton University in Ottawa and her honours Bachelor degree from the University of Waterloo with a focus on Sexuality, Marriage and the Family and Criminology. Dr. Sex is a certified Sexologist through the American College of Sexologists. Dr. Sex is a proud member of the Brampton Board of Trade.

Dr. Sex is the owner of Liberty Enterprise Inc., a multi-functional sexological organization that provides information and services related to sexual health. The organization is located in A Healing Place Brampton, Ontario, alongside family doctors, psychiatrists, massage therapists, naturopath doctors and other healing professionals.

Dr. Sex has studied all aspects of sexual health, including anatomical, physiological, medical, sociological, anthropological, and criminological, and has over 10 years of experience providing sex education and sex counseling. Dr. Sex has worked with the Children's Aid Society, Probation and Parole, Community Justice Initiatives, the Manasa Clinic, and Humber College.

Dr. Sex is the co-author of two books, and has published articles on sex offending, HIV/AIDS, sexual orientation, menopause, and erectile dysfunction. Dr. Sex is a regular contributor to Timelesswoman.ca, an online magazine for menopausal and postmenopausal women. Dr. Sex has completed the Sexual Attitudes Restructuring seminar and advanced training in sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS.
